Invisalign; The clear alternative to braces, right here in Tampa!

You may have heard about invisalign ® or seen commercials advertising these clear, slip-on ‘aligners’ that can be worn without attaching traditional metal brackets to the teeth. Did you know you have access to this braces alternative, right here in Tampa, from your trusted DMD who can help you through the entire process?

How Does invisalign® Work?

The invisalign® planning and entire process happens with Dr. Martinez and her caring staff, right here in Tampa.

  • Smile Scan: An in-office 3D scan (no plaster molds).

  • Roadmap: Next we determine exactly what each tooth needs and how to achieve your best smile!

  • Preview: You will get to see (in office) what you will look like with your completed experience!

  • Treatment: When your first custom aligners arrive, Dr. Martinez will make sure they fit and answer any questions.

  • Check-ups: Dr. Martinez will routinely review your progress and make sure your teeth are aligning properly.

  • Best Smile Achieved: Once your teeth are aligned, Dr. Martinez will discuss the need for retainers (as some patients don’t need them).

What Makes invisalign® Different From Traditional Braces?

  • Your food choices and habits may remain the same!

  • Sports and lifestyle activities may remain the same!

  • You may brush and floss normally.

  • Less likely to have an emergency; your aligners have no wires or brackets to poke or break.

  • Your clear aligners are less noticeable; some people may not even notice them.

What Types of Smiles Can invisalign® Treat?

Invisalign can treat overbite, underbite, crossbite, gap teeth, open bite, crowded teeth, and generally straight teeth

Are You Ready to Wear Your Best Smile?

  • You’ll wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks, as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Rinse and brush your aligners every night to keep them fresh and use the cleaning system to keep them clear.
  • Check-ups occur every six to eight weeks to check your progress and pick up your next batch of custom aligners.

  • When you start wearing each new set of aligners, you may feel a little extra pressure or discomfort for the first few days.

  • Wear your clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for best results.
